1. Budget under $3,000 2. I want this to be a super home theatre, multi-tasking, future multi-monitor setup 3. I don’t really play any computer games right now; my screen resolution is 1920x1080 but I plan on upgrading to 2560x1440 resolution in the future. I want to put a plasma screen above my current PC monitor and watch TV, movies, etc through it as opposed to my computer’s LCD. 4. I have terabytes upon terabytes of movies, music, pictures and various other multimedia. I have two new 2TB WD black hard drives that I would want to send DSO to have configured RAID 0 for me so I would have the 128GB SSD for my OS and programs, while storage would be on the 4TB’s inside the computer and the rest on all my LaCie removable HD’s connected through eSata. This is my configuration so far; I know some of it may seem superfluous (like the ATI TV Wonder HD 650 Combo and Auzen X-Fi Hometheater HD) but I am designing this to be more of a multi-media powerhouse as opposed to a gaming machine and I want to be able to do a lot with my music and movies. I plan on waiting for the next DSO sale (probably around the holidays) so my mobo will probably change to an x79 one but let me know what your thoughts are on the rest of the build. My place is always between 70-74 degrees so the hailstorm chassis should be fine, I'm not really a fan (pun) of the HAF cases. Number: 599576 |

if there is no gaming then the 1000w psu is pointelss, the z68 mobo is not needed. The case and the blackops section will turn out to be more expensive, get teh haf x and not from the blackops section.
are you sure you want to store your stuff on raid? raid or one of the hdds fail and you lose all data. these systems can handle 6 or more drives, why not have like three 2TB drives in there for storage but independently? $400 better same performance: Here you go Ticket# 599750 --- $2,241 (To see this build click here) Copy of Specifications: Chassis Model: Special Deal Hot Seller - Cooler Master HAF 932 Exterior Finish: - Standard Factory Finish Trim Accents: - Standard Factory Finish Processor: Intel Core i7 2600K 3.40GHz (Unlocked CPU for Extreme Overclocking) (Quad Core) Motherboard: ASUS P8P67 (Intel P67 Chipset) (New B3 Revision) (Does Not Support SLI) System Memory: 8GB DDR3 1600MHz Digital Storm Certified Performance Series (Highly Recommended) (Hand Tested) Power Supply: 750W Corsair HX (Dual SLI Compatible) Expansion Bay: - No Thanks Hard Drive Set 1: Operating System: 1x (128GB Solid State (By: Crucial) (Model: RealSSD C300 CTFDDAC128MAG-1G1) (SATA 6Gbps) Set 1 Raid Options: - No Thanks Hard Drive Set 2: Multimedia\Data: - No Thanks Hard Drive Set 3: Backup\Misc.: - No Thanks Optical Drive 1: Blu-Ray & DVD Writer/Reader (Burn + Play Blu-Ray & DVDs) (12x BD-R) (Lite-On iHBS112) Optical Drive 2: - No Thanks Internet Access: Wireless PCI-E 802.11n Up to 300Mbps (Supports 802.11n/g/b) (Model: ASUS PCE-N15) Video Card: 1x NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1GB (Includes PhysX Technology) (EVGA Edition) Add-on Card: ATI TV Wonder HD 650 Combo (PCI-Express Slot Based) (Model: TVW650PCIEWB) Sound Card: Auzen X-Fi Hometheater HD 7.1 (Model: AZTHTHD02817) (PCI-Express Slot Based) Extreme Cooling: AIR: Stage 2: Corsair A70 Dual 120mm Fans High Performance Cooler H20 Tube Color:- Not Applicable, I do not have a FrostChill or Sub-Zero LCS Cooling System Selected Chassis Airflow: Standard Factory Chassis Fans Internal Lighting: - No Thanks Enhancements: - No Thanks Chassis Mods: - No Thanks Noise Reduction: - No Thanks LaserMark: - No Thanks Boost Processor: Stage 1: Overclock CPU 4.0GHz to 4.4GHz Boost Video Card: - No Thanks, Please do not overclock my video card(s) Boost Memory: - No Thanks, Please do not overclock my memory Boost OS: - No Thanks, Please do not tweak the services on the operating system Windows OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Professional (64-Bit Edition) Recovery Tools: Windows Recovery Toolkit (Bundled with Windows 7 CD) Virus Protection: - No Thanks Office: - No Thanks Install/Test Game: - No Thanks Display: - No Thanks Surge Shield: - No Thanks Speakers: - No Thanks Keyboard: - No Thanks Mouse: - No Thanks External Storage: - No Thanks Exclusive T-Shirt: - No Thanks Priority Build: - No Thanks, Ship Within 5-15 Business Days After Order Is Successfully Processed Warranty: Life-time Expert Customer Care with 3 Year Limited Warranty |
