Topic: My experience with Digital Storm Posted: 19 Nov 2015 at 1:51pm |
So my story goes like this. I have been asked to teach a friend how to use Windows and since all they had was an old laptop that was running XP Molasses OS, i decided to have them buy a desktop computer to teach them. After much research I decided to go with Digital Storm. I build my own computers, but since this situation was to cumbersome due to credit cards and conflicting time frames, i decided to order one. To make a long story short. I CAN NOT BE MORE PLEASED WITH MY CHOICE AND OUTCOME.
The packaging was so well thought out and protective that i could not stop smiling. My biggest fears were laid to rest once it finally arrived. I ordered in October buy i was not in a hurry. It arrived 2 days ago and i went by their house today to install the Digital Storm Velox i had ordered for them. Keep in mind these are older people who just wanted a simple computer, but i wanted something special and that's what i got. Needless to say everything came EXACTLY how i ordered and wanted. From the monitor, to the speakers, to the Velox, everything came perfect. If i had to nitpick, it would be the keyboard that came with the Number 5 led with a small scratch. They didn't mind and neither did I. All pixels on ASUS monitor perfect. Like i said, the whole experience was great. They were ecstatic and this will make her lessons a WHOLE lot easier than that cumbersome laptop they had. The new Skylake was super quick. We couldn't be happier. While i love building my own computers from scratch, next time around when the UPDATE bug hits, i may just have to give Digital Storm a call. Thank you for your fine work and craftsmanship. Please don't ever change. Sincerely, A satisfied customer Edited by LiquidFreon - 19 Nov 2015 at 1:52pm |

I'll see if i can get her to snap a pic for me when they get back from their cruise. I really dig the neat job they did with the wiring. That's one thing i have to learn to do on my builds. |

For sure. I was supposed to stop by today, but it seems like she got caught up running errands because she didn't even call. They are leaving on a cruise this Monday so i guess they are tying loose ends. Ironically, i started watching The Flash last month on Netflix and i can't help but feel a little jealous of the cool lightning bolt on the front
I upgraded the fans when i ordered because you can never have to much cooling. I was afraid to go water cooling since i fear the UPS guys kung fu kicks and didn't want any problems. Also i have no past experience with water cooling and i didn't want use them as my guinea pigs since they have placed a great deal of trust in me. I wanted to go crazy with lighting and all the whistles, but her husband is hitting 83 years old and i didn't want to get banned from their house They are not gamers and truthfully she just wants to learn how to surf, work with emails, Skype, and buy things. I just REFUSE to buy them some generic looking DELL crap from Best Buy. I still sneaked in a Devastator keyboard and mouse along with a modest blue light inside, BECAUSE LED's YOU KNOW? Regardless her husband was actually transfixed like a moth and liked it. Looking back, i think i could have gotten away with a bit more. |
