Just curious...how many stages are there in a normal build? The reason I'm asking is because my last email from DG said it was at stage 5.

There are a total of 8 stages:
Stage 1: Payment processed
Stage 2: Inventory assigned to order's build-bin
Stage 3: Order is waiting in que for assembly team
Stage 4: Order is being assembled
Stage 5: Order is being tested
Stage 6: Order is in que for QA team
Stage 7: Order has passed QA and is in que to be packaged and shipped
Stage 8: Order has shipped to Dst4me for final testing for 2 years and then shipped to you

Of course Best Practices requires DST4ME to reship the PC to me so that I can certify his fine work before it is allowed to eventually get to the customer.
My part of certification shouldn't take more than a month or two if in fact DST4ME gave the PC a full 2 year break-in,   \

Why would you want to do that, IMHO that is the best stage of all, its the one right before you get your pc 
and of course we want the best pc for you which is why I in special cases such as yours I like to ship the pc to Onkel_Ken on your dime to have the final check before you get your new toy  Edited by DST4ME - 22 Jul 2016 at 8:26pm |

Perhaps you like to get started on the replacement then since by that time this system is gonna be long on the tooth. So what did have in mind for the replacement? 10 core system perhaps? Have no worries me and Onkel_Ken are here to help the whole way with this one also

I have never done this before. But I think that this time since all of my previous certifications for DST4ME have been flawless, immediately after his 2 year burn in testing that your PC should go directly to you.
I am going out on a limb with this but maybe DST4ME should also consider a special 1 year burn in for you since you obviously are sincerely looking forward to receiving your new monster PC. Understand that this isn't for everybody but this one time I am good for it.

Well my Vanquish 5 finally arrived,not in the best condition though. I'm blaming this mishap on UPS.When I opened the box I noticed that the heatsink came off of the cpu somewhere along its travels and was laying at the bottom of the pc. I called DG and was told to take pics of the box and the pcu and heatsink. I sent the pics via email and was told that someone would get in touch with me before the end of the day...they didn't, I had to call them around 6:30 EDT. I finally got in touch with Chris, but by then I had reinstalled the heatsink myself. Everything seems to be working fine except one more little detail THEY screwed up on. They sent me an LED controller with female ends, the light strip also has female ends so needless to say that doesn't work. I thought they checked ALL pc's to make sure they were working properly before they shipped... I guess they missed one....MINE!!! Not a very pleased individual this evening.

DS will make it right and soon you will also be a satisfied customer. Be sure to inform DS of any and all issues you might have at this point. DS has an A+ BBS rating and a casual look through the forum will confirm that DS stands by their products and resolves issues when they are contacted and given a chance to make things right. The forum members monitor these threads and know that DS does right by their customers. Hopefully the current deficiencies will be resolved quickly. The only issue I have now that I know of is the LED lighting. I fixed the heatsink and the 2 fans on the top of the case, all that's left is the Led lighting and I talked to Chris earlier today and he said he was submitting a request to send me a new LED controller. I think after this all will be good. I was more pissed at UPS than DS, it's just that it all came at once haha
