I was gonna get the gtx 1080TI, but the extra $320 over the 1080 with today's prices didn't seem worth it for me.  That money can go for a new gen card later this year or next when and if Nvidia releases their next card.   That's only if the gtx1080 doesn't make me happy with the Asus PG279Q monitor I'm on right now with my gtx 970.

Good question.   I just never felt the need for the added privacy and connectivity features of Pro.      Just never gave other than Home much thought.    Not much more for Pro so isn’t a bad choice either.   As I think of it, probably should’ve got Pro just to have it.   

Oh well.   I could call. Not sure I will.

I love it. So you pulled the trigger on 1440p and got the 1080 to give it wings. You're my Sensei! Maybe someday, but my 1200x1920 IPS is still one of my best friends ever.

It’s a 240 mm rad so should fit upstairs. I didn’t ask.   Wanna see what they do.    Thickness of rads with that case can be an issue.

I was undecided.   If they put it up front I’d be curious how the case, gpu handles the heat.     You know me, I like to experiment.

bprat and I got arrested last night for trying to lay siege to the DS office. Fortunately for DS our catapult collapsed on itself and we were too puny to lift a boulder onto it anyways.

I posted bail with all my catfood money, not sure about bprat.

Still stage 3.  Cry    It won't ship until after they announce the memorial day sale, just to rub it in.  LOL    I already just missed out on the older 960 Pro drive going to the 970 Pro.

That's the way the wind blows. If I remember correctly they announced the Bolt II within 2-3 days of me ordering the Bolt I. Big%20Smile

Of course if I waited around for the next best thing I'd be a skeleton by now. LOL

Agreed.  There is always New coming out.   

The new 970 Pro is faster than the 960 Pro I ordered but, really, will I see any difference ?   NO

New cards are coming out, but if the gtx 1080 gives me all I want then why wait another few months.    Look at all the stuff I can blow up in between.

I'll probably miss a free game or two, but that''s life.
