Budget:
$2500 or a bit more Usage: For streaming and gaming without dropping frames. some games I will be playing would be , League of legends, Overwatch, CSGO, H1Z1, GTA, and maybe a few high end games in the future. Special Needs: Nothing really as long as I can stream and game well at the same time! Specifications: So, I am by not really smart when it comes to picking computer parts. I have researched some information and slowly learning from there, but it would be nice to have everyone's help! I never had a high end gaming PC before this would be the first. Thanks in advance for the help and I hope this new beast PC will be fun to have! Edited by itzjaacky - 18 Dec 2016 at 6:18pm |

I'm no expert but I can give you my opinion
I would say: Processor: i7 is recommended the 4.0 GHz is good Memory: 16 gigs Graphics card:GTX 1060 will do but you can't go wrong with GTX 1070 Storage: 480gb SSD and then a 1 or 2 terabyte hhd And cooling I'm not to familiar with Like I said I'm not an expert but I know a thing or two about computers. |

If you have the budget get the gtx 1070 and the 2 terabyte
With these I can assure you, you will be able to play the listed games with ease Edited by Ghostly - 18 Dec 2016 at 7:36pm |

Welcome to DS. The more knowledgeable will be quite detailed in their suggestions but you need to start with the resolution you are using or are planning to use, 1080, 1440. or 4K. That will dictate what components will drive your monitor at reasonable refresh rates. You are in the right place to get a really good system. Good luck.

Hi itzjaacky.... Here's a config that'll play great on your 1080p monitor and stream just fine. It's the Apollo level 2 but with a better power supply, gold vs Bronze, longer warranty drives and EVGA 1070 with custom cooler.

Oh yeah, just noticed you're from Canada. Big difference in price.
Check out the Vanquish level 2 or 3. They are the best bang for your buck and with the gtx 1070, will play just as good. You just don't have as many config options. |

yeah I checked them out but was not as great as the one above... I mean my max budget could be $3000 so the computer build could be around $2700 without tax and all :/ |

Here's another attempt, this time with the Canadian configurator....
Configuration Code: 1567977 Total Price with Instant Savings: $2,587.00 Direct Load URL: https://www.digitalstorm.com/configurator.asp?id=1567977 Specifications: Chassis Model: Special Deal Hot Seller - Digital Storm Apollo (White) Exterior Finish: - Standard Factory Finish Trim Accents: - Standard Factory Finish Processor: Intel Core i7 6700 3.4GHz (Codename Skylake) (Quad Core) (Not Overclockable) <br><strong></strong> Motherboard: ASUS Z170-PRO GAMING (Intel Z170 Chipset) (Up to 5x PCI-E Devices) System Memory: 16GB DDR4 2666MHz Digital Storm Performance Series Power Supply: 750W EVGA SuperNOVA <br><strong></strong> Expansion Bay: - No Thanks Optical Drive: DVD-R/RW/CD-R/RW (DVD Writer 24x / CD-Writer 48x) (Internal) Storage Set 1: 1x SSD (240GB Digital Storm Performance Series) <br><strong></strong> Storage Set 2: 1x Storage (1TB Western Digital - Black Edition) <br><strong></strong> Storage Set 3: - No Thanks RAID Config: - No Thanks RAID Card: - No Thanks Internet Access: High Speed Network Port (Supports High-Speed Cable / DSL / Network Connections) Graphics Card(s): 1x GeForce GTX 1070 8GB (EVGA ACX 3.0) (VR Ready) <br><strong></strong> Sound Card: Integrated Motherboard Audio HPC Processor: - No Thanks Extreme Cooling: H20: Stage 2: Corsair H110i GT - 280mm Liquid CPU Cooler (Fully Sealed + No Maintenance) <br><strong></strong> HydroLux Tubing Style: - Not Applicable, I do not have a custom HydroLux liquid cooling system selected HydroLux Fluid Color: - Not Applicable, I do not have a custom HydroLux liquid cooling system selected Cable Management: Premium Cable Management (Strategically Routed & Organized for Airflow) Chassis Fans: Standard Factory Chassis Fans Internal Lighting: - No Thanks Airflow Control: - No Thanks Chassis Mods: - No Thanks Noise Reduction: - No Thanks LaserMark: - No Thanks Boost Processor: Standard Intel Turbo Boost 2.0 Automatic Overclocking Boost Graphics Card(s): - No Thanks, Please do not overclock my video card(s) Boost OS: - No Thanks, Please do not tweak the services on the operating system Windows OS: Microsoft Windows 10 Home (64-Bit Edition) Recovery Tools: Factory Reset Feature (Restore Windows + Drivers) (Partition up to 50GB of Storage) Virus Protection: FREE: McAfee AntiVirus Plus (1 Year Service Activation Card) (Not Pre-installed) ($35 Value) Office: - No Thanks Game: - No Thanks Display: - No Thanks Surge Shield: - No Thanks Speakers: - No Thanks Keyboard: - No Thanks Mouse: - No Thanks Branded Gear: - No Thanks Priority Build: - No Thanks, Ship Within 15-20 Business Days After Order Is Successfully Processed Warranty: Life-time Expert Care with 3 Year Limited Warranty (3 Year Labor & 1 Year Part Replacement) I dropped the overclocked CPU and overclocking, reduced the SSD, dropped internal lighting but kept in the important stuff.....like an I7 for your streaming, Gold psu for its warranty, fully modular wiring and efficiency and the gtx 1070. You could go gtx 1060, but heavier hitting games will need to be tweaked a bit. |

@bprat22 I like the first build more the only thing I mite change is prob the 1070 to a 1060 cause I don't think I will be playing some next level hardcore games I mean Overwatch and H1Z1 are the only hardcore games I play as of now.
I decided to go with: ( I don't know which 1060 card I should get maybe you can help ) I can use my old SSD / hard rive for storage so I don't need a new one for that. and if I were to switch graphics cards does that mean I cant over clock it ? I'd go with the Asus 1060 Strix for its custom board and cooler, factory overclocked and fans that stay off until needed, 60c they advertise.
If you mean the CPU overclock, switching cards doesn't effect it. the CPU and video cards can be overclocked independently. That config looks good. |

Yeah, I'd go gtx 1070 if possible. A little extra $$$ now means saving in the long run with it giving you more longevity.
DS sends whatever cables and hardware are left over after their assembly. My guess is you'll get an extra SATA cable or two, but don't hold me to it. You could, in Build Comments at the bottom of config, ask for an extra SATA cable or two. Good luck and keep us updated. |
