Hi,

This is my third try at posting. And second cup of coffee!

Ordered a second DS system and am not sorry at all. Have a second home and the A*******e A-51 (2008 vintage) was showing its age and cpu running at +100C while playing games. So I convinced "she who must be obeyed" that we (I) needed a more dependable pc. She is a "fruit" fan so it was not easy.

Went into Stage 1 on May 17 and Stage 7 on May 22! Talk about quick. Had to delay shipping until June 5! The specs are: Velox case; Asus Maximus IX Hero board; i7-7700K cooled by a H115i AIO; 32GB DDR4 3000MHz DS RAM; Corsair HX1000i psu; Storage: 1xSSD M.2 (1TB 960 PRO) and 1xSSD (2TB 850 PRO); 2x SLI GTX 1080Ti FEs on air; W10 Pro and 5 yearltd warranty, 3 years parts.

















The package showed the usual "silk glove" shipping handling but DS has the system carefully encased in foam so no damage. This thing is FAST. It puts my Av II to shame both booting up and shutting down and I was sure that the Av was fast. There is a new quick draw in town!! It is also very quiet. Quieter than the Av but it also has less fans. It also runs cooler, 30C on the cpu and video cards at idle and up to low 40sC running. The Av, for comparison runs the cpu at low 40sC and cards at mid 30sC at idle (all on water -Hydrolux Pro). So, much improved.
I like these gpus. A new challenge will be to convince "SWMBO" that I NEED them for the Av. (Hmmmm. Suggestions will be appreciated)

All in all DS was quick and efficient. We had a small issue whereby I had to change my original case choice (Vanquish 6) because it could not have the side fan installed, changed to the Velox and after being built, was told it could not have the internal card reader, a must for me. Was sent an external one. Already have a few of those, so...had I been told in time, I would have chosen a case with that option available. Only glitch in a superb experience and product. Love it.

hoserator, if you drop those pics in an imgur album and post the link I'll be able to embed them for you. I don't know how familiar you are with imgur but you don't have to make the album public for us to get them.
