My new Apollo just arrived today. Opening the software binder, I noticed there wasn't any backup disks for Windows 10 or MS Office Home that I ordered with the system. I did receive the MB, graphics card and sound blaster CDs, but I'm a bit upset that an actual Windows 10 and MS Office Home CDs were not sent.
Windows OS: Microsoft Windows 10 Professional (64-Bit Edition) Office: Microsoft Office 2016 Home & Student (PC Attach Key PKC Only, No Pre-install) Perhaps I made a mistake when selecting this particular option for Office, but I wanted the disk regardless of selection. I hope they can send me both the Windows 10 and MS Office disks. I'll pay for them if it was my fault. |

The actual Windows 10 CDs are no longer included, this has been going on for a while, if you're seeking the CDs for recovery purposes, we do offer that option on the configurator, see image below.
If you would like to purchase the discs, we are happy to help, please contact our team or send an email to "[email protected]" |

As for Office, what does the
(PC Attach Key PKC Only, No
Pre-install) for Office mean? Is that the option to get the free trial for one month through Office 365? It says no pre-install in the configurator for both software options, so that seems like a no-brainer. So, what exactly did I buy for an extra $159? Any ideas?

Last I looked, PKC means product key card which is an activation number on a piece of paper. No CD or media included, but the activation number to download for 1 user on a single pc from MS website. I think it also provides a way for a backup, but MS website will know.

This seems to be the way everything is going in regards to software. You buy an empty box or purchase the codes through a website and then have to download, install everything, and then do the patching/updates. For games, this can be a real hassle when they are tens of Gb in size to download in conjunction with another 1-2+ Gb in updates to go through.
2016 Home & Student takes up around 3 Gb space, so I would imagine it will take about 10-15 minutes to completely download on a good day with a rate of 3-4Mb/s(or it could be faster if the files are compressed). |

Thank you both. I already installed my copy of Office 2007 Home. I'll look for my card.
