Budget:
1,000-1,500$ Expectations: To be able to play most games fluently, high storage, fast, lots of memory, portability, and I want it to last at least 5 years (But I don't expect for the parts to be up to date by then.) Usage: Gaming, Streaming Online Video, Photo Editing, Video Editing, Writing, Web surfing. I plan to be gaming, writing and web surfing the most. Special Needs: I'll need a reliable Laptop, since I'm at school and I wont have the money or time for much replacement. Saved Ticket #: 705098 Specifications: Chassis Model: Digital Storm x15 Laptop (Model: 9130) Display: 15.6 Inch (16:9) (Resolution: 1920 x 1080) (Glossy Surface) LED-Backlit Display Processor: Intel Core i7 3610QM (2.3 GHz Turbo Mode to 3.3Ghz) (Quad Core) (6MB Cache) Thermal Compound: Premium IC Diamond CPU and GPU Thermal Compound (Reduces Thermal & Laptop Noise) Memory: 12GB DDR3 1600MHz Primary Hard Drive: 750GB 7200RPM (SATA 3Gb/s) Secondary Hard Drive: - Not Available Optical Drive: Blu-Ray Player (Blu-Ray 6x) & DVD/CD Writer Wireless Card: Intel Advanced-N 6230 Wireless LAN Module Video Card(s): NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670M 1.5GB with NVIDIA Optimus Technology Windows OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium (64-Bit Edition) Warranty Plan: Life-time Expert Customer Care with 3 Year Limited Warranty I should probably add that I don't exactly plan on purchasing this any time soon. What I mean is that I might purchase this laptop around next year's Christmas since I'm still coming around with the money to get it. I don't have much experience with computer component installing either. Thank you if you can help. |

Hi Lokel,
Welcome to the DS Forum. Next years Christmas is a long way off and anything we discuss now will be out dated by then. I suggest you enjoy the forum and learn as much as you can. Then when you are ready to buy you can make educated choices. Doing configurations now is a waste of your time. Frank Edited by FrankW - 05 Jul 2012 at 8:29am |

Hi Lokel,
So you are thinking of buying this Christmas? You said next years Christmas and that would be Christmas 2013. So I guess I was confused. What you are looking at now would still be currant for this Christmas. Maybe some of our laptop users will stop by and help you out. I hope I didn't throw off your thread. Frank |
