NVIDIA and G-SYNC/FreeSync

Do you think NVIDA is going to stick with G-SYNC or bite the bullet and go with FreeSync. G-SYNC monitors take a big hit in price over buying a FreeSync monitor. It doesn't seem like there are any big advantage of G-SYNC over FreeSync. But, there are additional cost involved for the monitor companies to build G-SYNC monitors. I hate to have to spend $200/$300 more for a G-SYNC monitor if it doesn't offer additional performance. I know it is NVIDA and G-SYNC works great but from what I understand FreeSync also works good too.

I would be interested in hearing any thoughts you guys and gals might have.
