Long story short…. I’ve always had ADMIN as the only account on my PC. Something happened to make it sleep (yes, sleep is off) and when I came back I had to enter a password that I a) no longer remember and b) can’t recover because I no longer have the email address that I had when the computer was new.
So, now I’m in a user account that takes forever to get into. My question…. How can I make Win10 STOP asking for verification/account when I log in? There are only 2 people who use this computer and neither of us needs a separate account. One account; no log ins; all access. Possible? Asking this while at work. Don’t have the time to go searching through all the Win10 documentation on the web to find out the long drawn out answers |

Go into account settings and select local account with password. That’s all I’ve ever used. After that I couldn’t say..
Let us know, Snaike. |

Found it... apparently it's a Win10 account issue after the last update. The fix is simple, yet very counter-intuitive...
If you're prompted to enter a password where you've not had to before and then get the message: "We are unable to connect right now. Please check your network and try again later" The solution is: 1. Press the Windows-Key and R together 2. A Small Window should appear. Type in netplwiz and press enter 3. This will open another Window, Check the box that says "user must enter a username and password to enter this computer" 4. Press Apply and then ok 5. Restart the computer. It will ask you now to type in your Password and Login. Do this (one last time if this works out ;-)) 6. repeat step 1 and 2. 7. Now uncheck the box with "user must enter a username and password to enter this computer" 8. It will ask you to enter your Passsword, do this and press ok 9. Press ok again. 10. Restart the Computer--> and now it should not ask for you Login Information :-) (instructions copied from this forum. |

Good find.
Make a password reset disc. In 3 years you might need it again. |

Wow, another W10 improvement. That's a long string of instructions , better do as bprat22 suggested. At least you got it done. Where did you find the solution?
