I ordered a new computer the other day (6700k CPU and a single GTX 970 card). My computer will be primarily for MS Flight Simulator X. I've been using a 24" 1920 x 1200 monitor for the past 7 years, but have thought about buying a 27". What resolution would be best in a single card configuration? 1080p will work well, but is 1440p too much perhaps? Thanks for any replies.

The 970 can run 1440p without major issues. You should be fine with that setup.
