Topic: Ordering Hardware from DS Posted: 31 Dec 2014 at 9:51am |
Hello and Happy New Year Everyone,
I am a (relatively) new and happy DS customer. However, I've already contracted the upgrade bug! I purchased my PC with an EVGA 970 SC (which is an awesome card), but I upgraded my motherboard to have SLI capability. Now that I have a little extra cash, I was going to purchase my second EVGA 970 SC. I can purchase from Newegg or even Amazon, but for some reason I remember reading that DS will give you technical assistance if you need it? Or your warranty applies? Or... something like that? Am I dreaming this? But I also couldn't find anywhere on the website to purchase this specific card. Any help would be awesome. Thanks! |

Hi Leonides02,
You need DS to answer your question so you don't get any bad info from me or others. DS won't warrant any equipment that you buy from a third party and install your self. So if you bought a MB from someplace and installed it the MB is no longer covered by your warranty. You present GPU that came with the computer and is plugged into the new MB will still be covered by warranty unless it fails due to a problem with the MB. If you buy a second GPU from DS they will warrant it and help you with information, support and installation if you need it. If you buy a second GPU from a third party then you are on your own like the MB. However, DS is great about supporting their computers and if you have questions or some problems, they will help you. Alex will probably be along and correct anything I miss spoke about. Frank |

If you purchase your hardware from us, (including upgrades), we will offer you warranty service directly and technical support. If you purchased the hardware elsewhere, we cannot offer you warranty service, but we could try to help you with any issues you may encounter.
Frank, thanks, great response! |
