I wanted to test my CPU with Orthos, but was wondering if any one of the following options was the best, or if there is one in particular that people use.  The options are as follows ...
 
Small FFT's - stress CPU
 
or
 
Stress CPU with Gromacs core
 
Also ... do these test take about 3 hours?

ORTHOS, PRIME95 and SP2004 all are similar CPU benchmarking applications. You want to chose the small FFT test. The test will run forever until you manually stop it, or if errors occur or if your computer crashes.

Once the test runs, your CPU(s) will be at 100% load and the temps will rise to their max immediately. Just one hour of testing is a good indication on where your temps will level off.
