I just recieved a new rig from DS
Had a few problems with it due to a bad sata cable. During this problem period the computer automatically went into some extensive self analisis and repair
replacing and changing settings.
DS states that my I7 920 was OC'd to 3.7
The bios states a "Target OC of 375XX not sure what target really means?
and the actual Overclock in the bios where it says I7 920 @ 2.66 *****
Speed 3.57
So do I have a 3.7 OC or a 3.5 OC?
Sound just fine or should I call tech support?

Post a CPUz screen shot, my bet is that it has an overclock of B clock of 179, so your BIOS is saying 179 x 20 = 3580Mhz, but the real speed is 179 x 21 = 3759Mhz. Just a gues.., but a CPUz screen shot will remove the guessing.

Thank You.
Could you tell me how to read or multiply the CPU-z report to find 3.759 Ghz?

you can look at my first post in this thread, it explains the math, as to how to extrapolate your CPU speed.
your BIOS had Intel speed step enabled, so when your PC is not under a load, it lowers the multiplier to 12, under load it raises it to 21
