So i've had my laptop for less than a week and i finally loaded one of the games i play offline because i am stuck on a ship for duty and underways. anyways on my former laptop i run an old gtx 460m 8 gigs of ram but i was still able to run the game on max settings.

This one i load up and start playing the game and i benchmark it i was pulling barely 10 fps.

The game is nba2k13 i am starting to test other games as well.

My guess would be drivers.

It should play it just fine. Also is the laptop plugged into power? Newer Nvidia cards use OPTIMUS which quite frankly.. sucks on battery.

Yep, I believe on battery the integrated graphics only is used and the card is disabled, but not 100%.

Correct. To the point, in some cases, a restart is required to return to dedicated GPU performance.
