I have had this Vanquish for about 1.5 years and can still say that it has been one of the best purchases I have ever made.

"She who must be obeyed" has indicated that a small upgrade to the system is not out of the question. So here I sit, pondering which piece or part needs a bit of a boost.

Specs of the Vanquish II Ultimate, circa early last year:

Intel Core i5 4570 @ 3.20GHz - Haswell 22nm Technology
8Gb Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 799MHz (11-11-11-28)
ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. H81M-E (SOCKET 1150)
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 (PNY)
111GB Corsair Neutron GTX SSD (SSD)
931GB Seagate (SATA)
USB Audio Class 1.0 and 2.0 Device Driver
Windows 8.1 64-bit

Monitors: VA2445 SERIES (1920x1080@60Hz) / E2041 (1600x900@60Hz)
Corsair 230T Case

Any opinions of what should be upgraded? Short of a Titan or 980Ti the 770 has been a very good GPU. 8Gb RAM is the most I've ever had in a computer... should I bounce to 16Gb? More fans, even though I've never had a problem with overheating?

Or, just leave everything well enough alone?

Thoughts?

Hi Snaike..... The MSI gtx970 Gaming 4G is '0' fans below 65C and even when they kick on, very quiet.  With Witcher 3 I've never been above the high 60's and don't hear the fans kick on.  Any gtx 970 is about a 40% boost over the 770.

The rest looks good to me.

If your happy, leave it alone , but the 970 will allow higher settings and fps.

Good Luck. Big%20Smile

I am a bit... err... astounded at that recommendation. The GTX970 was exactly what I was looking at (on newegg) before I made this post.

Uh oh... it seems I'm starting to absorb all y'alls 'puter smarts!

(And yes, where I'm from, "all y'all" is proper English.)

Thanks.
