So the power supply on my bolt 3 shorted out and I need to replace it. I want to get something that is between 500-750w and is modular so can anyone give me an exact model I can buy at best buy or amazon?

If it fits in your case, look at corsair 750w hx or hxi, they are both great and should be fully modular.

Yeah not to sure what the max size psu will fit in there that is why I'm asking here

What is the current psu size? I don't own one so I'm not sure.

Now they have the x which is bigger so i can't compare.


Bp or db should know, one of them will let us know

If you can give us current psu dimensions we could figure it out

I believe the Bolt family can only accomodate an SFX size psu, somewhat smaller than the typical size.    

Lian Li has a 750 watt SFX, the PE-750 that should do it.  Silverstone also has SFX size boxes on Amazon, 600 and 700 watt.  

You could double check with DS just to make sure.  Big%20Smile

Check the dimensions of what you have and compare would be the best advice if getting in touch with DS doesn't work because of work, busy, etc.

There's also the SFX-L, which is a longer supply to accommodate a larger cooling fan, 80mm to 120mm, which is good.  .   That should fit also.

their new Bolt supports SFX and SFX-L, but i'm not sure on the previous gen's.
