    Posted: 04 Jul 2015 at 12:50pm
So with just over a month left before I'm off to University for a degree in engineering, I've found myself in need of a laptop since bringing my desktop isn't very logistical. After some searching for a reasonably priced laptop that could use and not long for my baby back home, I found the 15.6" Triton. After a little while sorting through what I'd like and what I could afford, I finally arrived upon this build: 1234793. I'm happy with it, but I have one final question before I commit and sell my kidney for this machine; is the screen TN or IPS? While I don't think I'd mind a TN screen, I quite like the idea of getting an IPS screen since I'm not going to be trying to play competitive counterstrike any time soon.

Thanks for any help and happy 4th of July!

Hi AgentKitKat,

I don't know if the Triton has a TN or IPS screen. It is my guess that it is a TN. The Triton is not in a price range that you would normally see an IPS screen. DS doesn't give the specks of the Display. If it was an IPS I assume they would say that in the description as a plus.

I think DS will have to answer this for you.

Frank

I assumed it was too good to be true, but since none of the other more expensive laptops claim an IPS as a feature I still want to hold out hope, however unlikely it may be.
