so. I'm looking at GTX 295 and HD 5970 and wonder about the performance differences. (they cost the same in my build ) I'm an architect using 3DMAX, CAD, Rhino, MAYA with heavy mental ray rendering tasks. I do love the 5970, but I feel the PhysX of 295 might be better for me. (or rendering softwares don't use GPU at all?)

I use a 22" at 1680 x 1050

another question is I will have i7 920 oc to 3.5 or 3.6 GHz, and I'm considering the V8 cooler, or dual 120mm Noctual fans, anyone can tell me the differences? Is overclocked processor reliable and stable over 2-3 years?
or I should get i7 960?

and finally, the configuration I want from DS doesn't have 12 Gb ram option. If I upgrade it to 12 Gb on my own, would it be compatible? I heard I need to re over clock CPU if the memory is different.

Thanks in advance~

go with 920 oced with Noctua NH-U12P, Noctua is a bit better and more quiet.

Properly oced cpu should last you minimum 8 years.

you can ask DS for 12GB of ram
