Quick Question

I know I will get a quick response if I post here. - I will not upgrade my current config for some time, but, as a general rule, 1 high end video card is good enough for 1440 and 1080 and a 27 or 30" monitor? - Friends Son is looking to get a computer for his birthday.

Sounds like a plan. 

Nice build.    Change the HDD from Seagate to Western Digital Black for $19.  Might as well give them a better rated drive with longer warranty.

Problem is, for $200 LESS, the Vanquish level 4 will give you an SSD twice the size, 120GB vs 250gb, and the V4 has the gtx 980 vs the gtx 970, another 15% boost in performance, give or take.

Nothing wrong with your original Bolt 3 build or these, they all look good, but the Vanquish 4 is best bang for your buck at this price range.   Sometimes someone will pay more just for the case, or a component they feel strongly about, so it's all up to whoever is paying.

Yes bprat22, that is the exact build I had in mind. I like that 450 case.
