Hi! New to this stuff. Just upgraded my DigitalStorm to 12GB of DRAM from 6 (3 x 4GB modules). The 12GB Ram is Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600. Once installed, went to AI Tweaker (I have the ASUS P6X59D Premium Motherboard) and set to X.M.P.

Computer recognizes the RAM just fine, but CPU-Z shows the frequency of each is still at 800 MHz. Shouldn't that be showing 1600 MHz for each?

What have I done wrong, or missed?

Thanks very much,

JTH

Hi JTH76...   You're good to go.   CPU-Z shows the speed at single data rate and DDR is double data rate, so half speed is correct.  800 mhz in CPU-Z is 1600 in practice.    That's the easiest explanation.

Hope this helps. Big%20Smile
