I will by 3 gtx 295 when they come out but the question is do I risk overclock 3 gtx 295 because here is a video of what happen to a video card when it is clock to the max. The card dies...
So do I put the option to overclock the 3 gtx 295 when I buy my Rig or do I leave it like that and just overclock the cpu.

I have not even looked at the video, nor am I going to, push anything pass its limits and it will give, red line an engine and watch it blow or throw shaft or something.
so lets separate, there is proper OCing and then there is dumb things to do, lets not mix them up. OCing done by DS is moderate and nothing anybody has to worry about. 3 x 295 GTX is an overkill, let along OCing 3 of them, your problem is gonna be how you gonna keep that case cool with 3 oced GTX-s also not sure what case and mobo can fit 3 x 295 gtx. I wonder if the new evga will fit it but then it only handles ram speed of 1600MHz. Edited by DST4ME - 04 Jan 2009 at 7:34pm |

I'm pretty that 3-way SLI is not supported with the 295 GTX. That would be 6 GPU's, and I think the most you can have is 4.
