Budget:
$2,500 to $3,200 Expectations: I want a PC that will last a long time, at least 5 years. I also want to have the option to upgrade GPU and other components without a hassle, I am not that tech savvy. Hi Vladimchen....
Here's an alternate build with a stronger video card for your 1440p monitor , a better HDD and better cpu cooler. Configuration Code: 1522045 Total Price with Instant Savings: $2,760.00 Direct Load URL: https://www.digitalstorm.com/configurator.asp?id=1522045 Specifications: Chassis Model: Special Deal Hot Seller - Digital Storm Apollo (White) Exterior Finish: - Standard Factory Finish Trim Accents: - Standard Factory Finish Processor: Intel Core i7 6700K 4.0GHz (Codename Skylake) (Unlocked CPU) (Quad Core) Motherboard: ASUS Z170-PRO GAMING (Intel Z170 Chipset) (Up to 5x PCI-E Devices) System Memory: 16GB DDR4 2666MHz Digital Storm Performance Series Power Supply: 750W EVGA SuperNOVA
Expansion Bay: - No Thanks Optical Drive: DVD-R/RW/CD-R/RW (DVD Writer 24x / CD-Writer 48x) (Internal) Storage Set 1: 1x SSD (512GB Samsung 850 PRO)
Storage Set 2: 1x Storage (1TB Western Digital - Black Edition)
Storage Set 3: - No Thanks RAID Config: - No Thanks RAID Card: - No Thanks Internet Access: High Speed Network Port (Supports High-Speed Cable / DSL / Network Connections) Graphics Card(s): 1x GeForce GTX 1080 8GB (EVGA ACX 3.0) (VR Ready)
Sound Card: Integrated Motherboard Audio HPC Processor: - No Thanks Extreme Cooling: H20: Stage 2: Corsair H115i - 280mm Liquid CPU Cooler (Fully Sealed + No Maintenance)
HydroLux Tubing Style: - Not Applicable, I do not have a custom HydroLux liquid cooling system selected HydroLux Fluid Color: - Not Applicable, I do not have a custom HydroLux liquid cooling system selected Cable Management: Premium Cable Management (Strategically Routed & Organized for Airflow) Chassis Fans: Standard Factory Chassis Fans Internal Lighting: Internal Chassis Lighting System (Blue)
Airflow Control: - No Thanks Chassis Mods: - No Thanks Noise Reduction: - No Thanks LaserMark: - No Thanks Boost Processor: Stage 1: Overclock CPU - Up to 4.4GHz (Depends on Cooling and Motherboard)
Boost Graphics Card(s): - No Thanks, Please do not overclock my video card(s) Boost OS: - No Thanks, Please do not tweak the services on the operating system Windows OS: Microsoft Windows 10 Home (64-Bit Edition) Recovery Tools: Factory Reset Feature (Restore Windows + Drivers) (Partition up to 25GB of Storage) Virus Protection: FREE: McAfee AntiVirus Plus (1 Year Service Activation Card) (Not Pre-installed) ($35 Value) Office: - No Thanks Game: - No Thanks Display: - No Thanks Surge Shield: - No Thanks Speakers: - No Thanks Keyboard: - No Thanks Mouse: - No Thanks Branded Gear: - No Thanks Priority Build: - No Thanks, Ship Within 10-15 Business Days After Order Is Successfully Processed Warranty: Life-time Expert Care with 3 Year Limited Warranty (3 Year Labor & 1 Year Part Replacement) The Skylake mobo and cpu are better performers with gaming. You don't need the 6 core cpu. 16GB is all you need and even that is more than you need but is pretty standard. I dropped the psu to the 750 watt. If you want the option to go sli, 2x gtx 1080, then keep the 1000watt, otherwise the 750 watt will do it. Changed the HDD to the Western Digital for a more reliable and longer warranty drive. Put in the EVGA gtx 1080. For above 1080p monitor, a 1080 gets more games at higher res and fps. Plus the EVGA has great customer support and the ACX 3.0 has zero fan rpm below about 64C. The H115 cooler is a Corsair brand and carries its own warranty beyond the DS warranty. Basically, a better build for less money. Edited by bprat22 - 14 Nov 2016 at 11:29am |

bp pretty much laid it out for you, its a great build, I would only change the ssd to 960pro if you feel like waiting if not 950 pro, but the 850 bp has picked is great also don't get me wrong, I just like the super fast speeds of the m.2 drives (950/960 pro).
His build is much better and will faster for your use. I would pick his build over yours 100% of the time for performance and reliability. Hope that helps |

Great, thank you for your help guys! I decided to stick with 1000W EVGA 1000 GQ for PSU and changed SSD to M.2 (512GB Samsung 960 PRO) but other than that I went with bp's recommendation. I am glad I ended up saving more money than I thought hah

Our pleasure.
Good changes. The M.2 is FAST with no SATA. restrictions. The psu gives you sli possibility. Stay in touch with its progress. |

Good choice only if you are looking to go sli, if not the one bp recommended is fine, otherwise its all good
dont forget the warranty here is 1 year part so adjust that to what you need, 2 year part is free for now till the sale ends. Edited by DST4ME - 15 Nov 2016 at 10:26am |

Yeah I would like to have more power just in case I get a second card or change to something more powerful in the future. The build is already in stage 3, moving pretty fast.
