Do you think the GTX 970/i5 with liquid cooling for $1900 and 125 shipping is a good deal?
Or an Inwin 901 with 980, Z97, Dominantor Platinum built by me for $1500 is a better system? http://pcpartpicker.com/p/zhKQNG The 980 build. Gold S-Frame $1900 build. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/RdgyRB (also I made the first thread in hardware by accident, can a mod close it) |

The Bolt II is a good deal smaller than the Inwin 901 and can support a dual rad, instead of a single. The GPU also has better ventilation in the Bolt II. And then for the S-Frame, that case is absolutely MASSIVE...completely different end of the scale and would compete more with the Aventum (which has a much better liquid cooling setup with 3 times the radiator area).
I would go with the Bolt II, as it comes with support and has better design and packaging. My 2¢. |

Thanks for the input. You are right the Bolt II is the best out there. I tried my best to find a similar one but failed. The next closest is the Lian Li PC-O5 case but that is open air and no liquid cooling.
The Bolt II has such a good design and duel rad like you mentioned is great. I only wish they had the shorter and optical drive version still. I am waiting for the black frame to be in stock and the Titan X to be an option in the config. Do you think an i5 4690K would bottleneck it? |

Yes, I'm happy I got my Bolt when I did. But I guess there was enough demand for taller graphics card to warrant making the case larger.
It depends on what you're running on your computer as to whether the 4690K would be the bottleneck. Really it would be whether you're able to use more than 4 threads at any given time. I would suggest moving to a 4790K over opting to overclock. |
