I have a Vanquich 4 - Level 3 with an i5 6600K on a Asus Z170-K bboard. When I first got it the MB was in ASUS Optimal mode but there was a glitchy thing for that model that recommended I put in a Normal mode. I have had no problems with it since.
Now I am wondering if I should switch back to performance and overclock. Im trying to get in the recommended specs for this summers big releases. I would like to get morer value out of this machine. But its always nice when you get the new and shiny upgrades.

Also its now win 10 pro

What would you recommend?

There should be no problem with today's games on that CPU, even without an oc at 1080p. If you want to do it, DS should be very willing to help you under the lifetime support, if you need it.

The only upgrade I would look at for the next couple of years would be the GPU, but I doubt you need that yet either. 970 is still a pretty good card at 1080p. With the next gen of cards due out pretty soon, I'd want to see what those can do.
