Hi Kenneth,
That is a good build for the money. Are you sure you don't want a HDD for storage? Why do you have a AMD Radeon R7 240 2GB listed if you are going to use your 98Ti? Frank |

Frank, he'll be putting in his 980 Ti in place of the R7 240...exactly what I did with the 970 FTW.
He may also have storage already, too. As for the Evo vs. Pro, the only benefit the Pro really has is the 10 year warranty versus the 5 for the Evo. The Pro has MLC V-NAND, which will perform slightly better than the TLC V-NAND in the the EVO, but not by much and only really matter for random reads and writes (sequential reads and writes are limited by the SATA interface). |

Real nice build.
FYI....The 240mm rad will mount under the top, meaning the top acoustic remains off all the time for the fans to blow through the rad. It'll work great for temps and airflow but will increase the noise a bit. Good luck. |

The fans need to stay on,otherwise your cpu will overheat in a few minutes.

I will of course monitor the temps as I'm testing different fan configs. Since this case is built for good airflow while being extremely quiet I'd like to get as close to as little noise as possible. Thanks for the input.

I just ordered a tricked out Slade build--also with the GTX 980 ti--but without any cpu overclocking.
And with a 1TB caviar black HDD, as the 500GB EVO SSD will likely fill up quickly with gaming apps (I like to keep multiple modded copies of certain games), and I don't want it cluttered with anything non-essential. |
