Well I let the boys drop and pulled the trigger on a Vanquish 5. It's in stage 6 now and has been since Weds. Hope it's doing alright since it's been on the test bench this long. Is this an abnormally long time on the bench?

Considering my current PC is running an AMD Athlon II x4 630 (my biggest bottleneck) this is going to be a vast improvement.

Congrats.    

The time frame seems fine to me.    Stage 6 is wrapping things up , plus, even if they did find a problem, better they find it then you after delivery.

I'm not complaining about the time frame at all. Just curious. Like you said it's much better for them to locate and deal with any issues while it's still there for sure.

This is gonna be my Star Citizen machine.

Yeah when I compared the Vanquish 5 to what it would cost to build it myself I wouldn't have saved much and I wouldn't have tech support or a warranty. (Plus DS techs have forgotten more than I ever knew about builds) Heck of a deal!

Pretty excited to get the black case/red led fan version too. Gonna look really good with my red led keyboard, mouse, and headset.

I'll post some pics. Currently fabricating a custom built case stand to keep the case off the tile floor and maximize the bottom case fan and PSU exhaust while minimizing dust intake. Got the email tonight that it's gone to Stage 7 so no time to waste.

Got my Vanquish 5 Lvl 4 today. So far so good. Everything seems to be working perfectly. Still loading programs/games so I haven't put it to any tests yet. I'll try to get some photos and a full review after two weeks with it so I can do it proper.
