Topic: The Arrival, Digital Storm System #4 Posted: 25 Nov 2015 at 2:46pm |
Yesterday my 4th Digital Storm system arrived. When I first saw the box, I was pretty worried that I might have some damage to my machine...
Then after opening the box, my concerns seemed to become a little more concerning, due to the position of my computer on the carefully packed shipping box... Then I removed the computer and placed it where I could get a good look at it, removed the door, carefully removed the foam packing, and began to check for loose parts, anything rattling in the case. To my great delight, the only thing I had to reset was the SLI bridge and even I could do that ;-) After I connected all my peripherals up, fired my rig up and it booted up just fine with no errors! Always a good sign! Once that was verified and taken care of, I was good to go. Here is my little baby in it's new home on top of my customized computer desk, milk crates do wonder for the airflow! I am very happy with my new DS rig. No issues and I have been running for 34 hours straight with no errors! Still would recommend Digital Storm, and hopefully my 4th purchase will show my faith in the company. The only thing that I was slightly disappointed with was I asked the internal cabling would be set up to allow me to install my two drives without having to take apart the fine cable management work done by the DS staff. Not a big issue, but now I get to snap those lovely zip ties and wire in my drives. Like I said, not a big deal, just a convenience. Overall, great work guys! Thanks Alex and your crew for another fantastic work of art! Regards! |

Hi Mouseguard,
Thank you for being such a loyal customer, I'm glad to hear that you're happy with the machine. It looks great! In regards to the packaging and arrival, I'm glad the extra steps our team takes to protect systems paid off this time around. It seems like your system had a nice rough ride to your location. That's why we like to take extra measures to protect the PC on multiple levels of padding. In regards to the wiring for hard drives, sorry about that, the team does try to minimize wires as much as possible, in your case, I wish we knew ahead of time, we could have left a few slots pre-wired for you. |

Actually I did when I contacted you and you said you would pass the instructions to the staff about my adding the hard drives. A simple oversight and something I can overcome. Thanks again Alex!

One month later...
System runs almost silently. Just purchased a Acer XB280HK 4k G-sync monitor. Easily maintaining 60 FPS and still have to look over to see if it's running. Maybe one of these days I can make the review section?!?! Guess I will have to wait until system number 5 in a couple of years... Solid system, quiet as an empty church, everything smooth as glass so far. |
