Topic: The best 4k Monitor ? Posted: 25 Sep 2016 at 9:03am |
Recently ordered my new DS RIG which should be here in a few weeks, the computer will definitely will be capable of handling a 4k monitor. My current monitor is 2560x1440 and i am looking to upgrade to a 32inch 4k setup for the near future. was wondering what you all would recommend. It will be used for 100% gaming, games such as battlefield 1, doom, tomb raider...

Most of us are waiting for a 144Hz 4k IPS monitor, that would be the best which they don't make yet but they are to be out end of this year/beginning of next year.
If you want to know what to look for: Go here and look at the specs, look at Resolution, Panel Type, Response Time, Viewing Angles and Refresh Rate, and then look at the rest. Edited by DST4ME - 25 Sep 2016 at 12:03pm |

Yeah :( sadly the monitor is the industry's bottle-neck right now. DP 1.4 could easily do 4K at 144Hz, but no monitors out right now.

That one is pretty good. It doesn't have any adaptive sync tech though. And the response time is 9ms? That's pretty high. |

$5,000 for a monitor? Not in this lifetime. "She who must be obeyed" would absolutely cut me off, both literally and figuratively. |

For gaming no thanks, it will not be great.
For regular use it is good. I will still take a 4k 144hz ips over that one. |

I agree with you DST. Still waiting on the technology to advance on the monitors and then upgrade my video cards.
