I am attracted to DS laptops over A---------e because you can choose to put a desktop i7 6700-k cpu in them. Most gaming laptop builds top out with mobile CPUs like 6700hq or 6820hk.
More and more companies are producing external graphics amplifiers for laptops. A-------e graphics amp (proprietary only), razer core (any thunderbolt 3), and later this year Asus ROG XG station 2 (rumors say thunderbolt 3 compliant). This makes a lot of sense because you can build a powerful laptop without it weighing like a brick. When on the go I can live with a 970m or 980m. Back home I can plug into a 1080/1080ti for desktop performance. Question: when will DS release laptops w thunderbolt 3 ports so we can connect to graphics amplifiers like razer core or ROG XG station 2? I'm holding off making a purchase until this is possible. Thanks! removed competitor name. Edited by Snaike - 07 Jun 2016 at 7:14am |
