Need advises!

Which monitor do you guys think is better for a triple 27''(2560*1440) monitor setup?

1, ASUS PB278Q
2, DELL U2713HM
3, BenQ BL2710PT
4, ViewSonic VP2770

For gaming! (FPS, RPG, MMO, etc...)

(Please do not consider the budget~)

Thanks!

Generally I recommend Dells. However, in this case I'd probably lean towards the Asus, simply because if you get it at the right price you could save over 250$ between the three monitors.

I did a lot of looking and agonizing and was leaning to the Dell. Then I said what the heck and got a 30" instead. One plus for the ASUS is there may be a better chance of getting a V-SYNC add-on for an ASUS than a Dell (see separate thread under industry developments).

And I see I am now a verified customer <flex>. In my MMOs one can get a forum title with many of the packages they sell for $20-$150. Here it cost ...just a BIT more.

If you're using it for gaming, I'd look for the one with the smallest bezel. Monitors with large bezels will create huge dead spaces between your displays. I'm using triple 1080P displays each with 11mm bezels to keep the gaps under 1".

Here's a video running F1 2013 on my setup:

HailStorm II
i7 4770K @ 4.5GHz
Asus Maximus VI Extreme
16GB Corsair Dominator Platinum
3xSLI EVGA SuperClocked GTX TITAN
Samsung 840Pro SSD 256GB+512GB

Thank you fscvc, and your setup is amazing...I love it!
So what's your advise for a triple 1440p setup?

I have been using a 2560*1440 27'' iMac for almost 4 years. Therefore I don't think I can go back to 1080p.....

Are you using 3 of them?

BTW, I have read lots of reviews that indicates this monitor has a very high input lag, is this true and really bother you while you'er gaming?

Thank you for your advise!

I have owned this monitor for over 3 months and have played every type of game (currently playing COD Ghost and BF4)and have had 0 issues with lag. I only use 1 since its incredibly big. I cant imagine using 3 of these monstrous monitors.

Nice...I will definitely consider it.
One last question: where did you get it? I can't find an appropriate one online - most of them are used. Also on Samsung's website, they are out of stock.

I purchased it on amazon a few months back when they had them in stock. It was expensive. I think they are even more expensive now. I'm guessing Samsung is coming up with a new model soon.

There is only one new which priced at $1287.10 by a 7% positive customer review seller on Amazon.....
Seems like I have to look at a different option since my DS system will be delivered very soon.

Anyway Thank you very much!

I just saw the 7% rating on that monitor and the grossly up price on it. When I bought mine it was directly from amazon.

I know exactly what you mean about going back to 1080p after using a 1440p monitor. Before the Samsung I had an Apple 27in monitor that died on me a year after I bought it. I still have it collecting dust in my garage.

I would recommend finding a retail store that has them in stock so you can physically look at the display before making any choices. That along with online reviews should help you narrow down the display you want. I would have also preferred to go with higher res displays (I use all retina display Apple products outside of my gaming system) but couldn't justify spending $3k-$4k on the displays right now (spent around $750 for the 3 I have now). I only use my system for gaming, so it still looks great (no worse than playing PS3 on the TV!).

I just ordered and received, not set up yet waiting on my BOLT, the HP Pavilion ISP 27 xi 27-Inch Screen LED-lit Monitor from Amazon at $255.00 based on reviews by those who have purchased it.

The HP 27 xi is a wonderful monitor, but the only problem is that it only has 1080p...

I think I will choose one between ASUS PB278Q and DELL U2713hm because they are only two available in the micro center near my home.

Thank you guys!

The ASUS PB278Q is what I personally use.  The Dell u2713 has a ton of reviews online proving it's horrible motion blur and ghosting to not make it worth it.

Your best monitor in that list is the Asus PB series.   I'm like Nav, I absolutely love this monitor.

I have an ASUS PB278Q and love it. However, it took me two returns to get one without a faulty OSD. I would recommend buying your PB278Q directly from ASUS if possible. I think Amazon was selling a bad batch at one time. I worked directly with ASUS RMA to get a good one.

I buy 99% of my stuff from Amazon. I think in 2 years anything no matter what it is, had some kind of an issue, returning is a matter of printing out a return label and dropping off at a shipping point, Fed-X, USPS etc. No calls no questions.

And I base most of my purchases on reviews by buyers on Amazon and on line research. Love my HP.

The ASUS PB278Q is a professional graphics display at around $600.00 and very nice

Seems Triple screens (to span) must be the same orientation, resolution, refresh rate and sync polarity.
Am I wrong in assuming that the days of spanning across 3 with portrait sides are dead? (Nvidia)
