Hi! Newb question here:

I have a 2 year old Vanquish 3 with a GeForce GTX 960 graphics card. I recently got an Oculus Rift and have been using it but am interested in upgrading the graphics card for better performance (probably to GeForce GTX 1080).

Do I need to buy/do anything else besides get the new card and swap it out? I've run into some power issues recently (driver_power_state_failure crashes) and want to make sure I don't also need better power/bigger hard drive to successfully run a more powerful graphics card.

Thanks for the help!

The gtx 1080 upgrade is no problem. The 600 watt psu is all you need. The hard drive doesn't impact the graphics card, other than loading scenes if that's how the game is written. An SSD will load and refresh scenes faster if the game is on that drive, but that can be said for even your gtx 960.
