Welcome to DS. The Vanquish is a somewhat prebuilt model with limited options. You can configure a different system (Lumos, Slade or Velox) with the parts you want AND get the Vanquish case. Hope this helps.

Yeah, can't upgrade the Vanquish line, but they are a terrific value over the custom builds. Right now, they come standard with remote controllable interior lighting that looks pretty great. Over 300 variations to choose.
As far as upgrading to a better SSD setup later, that's a really simple upgrade for DIY. |

Can't say for sure. Each level has a different motherboard, and a different video card. In level 3 and 4, they might use an Asus board or an MSI, so there would be slight differences. There would be ample usb ports for most users. Pretty sure the GPU would have only one HDMI port, but that could vary as well. DS will use different brands from time to time.

When you decide what you want, DS can probably answer those questions for your build in an e-mail. |

The Vanquish 7 is fully upgradeable, meaning the video card, motherboard, drives, etc can all be changed as time goes on. The Vanquish can’t be customized in the configuration, shipping as a prebuilt system.

OK so If I was to upgrade to a SSD would I just reload the OS on to it from the supplied disks?

Except for the level 1 Vanquish, the others come with an SSD as OS drive.
If you wanted to add an SSD and wanted to use it as primary OS drive, you could use the supplied disc or memory stick to load Windows fresh or use cloning software to transfer the old drive to the new. Most SDD come with cloning software or give free access to it online, like Acronis. Acronis is excellent. |
