starting to think about upgrading some stuff on my aging 4 year old digital storm
 first off i have 1 of 3 cooling fans starting to go so going to replace them then started to think about the future as of now i have this window to do stuff with some tax refund money so i was thinking about graphic cards but not sure on what to do so im turning here for some recommendations

processor: intel core I7 2600k 3.4Ghz
motherboard: ASUS P8P67 Deluex
System Memory: 16GB DDR3 1600MHZ
power Supply: 1000W
video cards: 2x SLI dual Geforce GTX 560Ti 1GB

CPU Boost: Stage 1 overclock 4.0GHz to 4.4GHz

The only thing I can really see needing upgraded on your rig is the graphics cards. If you wanna keep doing SLI you could get a couple 960's. Or if you have the money to spare some 970's

Given the money to do it, I'd upgrade to 3rd or 4th gen processor and MB and GTX 960/970 video cards.

Actually, your set-up is still good for most stuff out there but is becoming the recommended minimum for the games that tax the graphics and CPU. If the budget is tight you could go with video now and motherboard / chip later or vice-versa.

I'd also consider the gtx 970.   It'll perform better than your sli 560s.

what do you primarily use your comp for (gaming, compute, etc.)? 

if gaming, what resolution and settings (ultra, high, medium)? 

kind of hard to give suggestions w/o knowing what you want to do with them.  i just had a hard drive go bad on my 4 year-old comp.  you might want to check your drives with a free diagnostic tool to make sure they're holding up.  replace if necessary, like with your fans.  beyond that, it would seem the one thing that will really upgrade your system is a higher tiered gpu.  again, really only if you plan to game at QHD or UHD resolutions.  your current cards if still good can handle 1080p just fine. 

if you're thinking 4k gaming, i wouldn't personally go anything less than 2x GTX 980, 1x R9 295x2, or wait and see what R9 390X can do (the new Titan X isn't really consistent across all modern games at 4k with just 1 card).  if you're thinking 1440p or less a single GTX 980 (or even 970) is enough.

I just swapped out the 770 (sold it) in mine to a 970 and OMG! Great card. 4GB is great. I am loving it.
