Hello,
I was wondering how hard it would be to add another GTX 980 to this setup in the future? I see it is SLI ready but not 100% sure what all that means. I will also want to add an i7 CPU to the system eventually. Thanks for the help. |

Hi RyanHa.... The Vanquish lvl 4 can take another 980 in sli. Just have to plug it into the other Pciex16 slot , install the sli bridge across both cards , plug in the 2x Pcie connectors from the power supply and setup SLI in the Nvidia Control Panel.
The 750watt psu is the minimum recommended but should work just fine . Hope this helps and good luck. Edited by bprat22 - 20 Jul 2015 at 8:35am |

Bringing up an old post...
I just added a 2nd PNY 970 in SLI to my early Vanquish 3 Lvl 4 and don't see much of a performance gain. I think my display ( a 32" JVC TV) is my next roadblock. Considering saving up for a 4K Acer monitor. It it worth the effort? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009658 What about overclocking? Could use some good advice. |
