Topic: virtualization question Posted: 25 Sep 2016 at 6:25pm |
My question is not about gaming.I would like to know exactly how to enable virtualization in bios so that I can use 64bit iso for use in VirtualBox? I have a Bolt 3 64bit windows 10 home full version and I am not sure of cpu model at the moment. Can anyone hopefully a support administration who answers forum questions and knows about bolt 3 hardware help me out? Thanks greatly.I will check the specs as soon as I can to find cpu model.

There is no way to know your make and model without your info, and I don't work for DS. Run cpu-z and put the screenshot of it on here and we will know your cpu, a screenshot of the mobo tab will let us know your mobo, we need to know your mobo so we can figure out what bios it has, virtualization is in your bios.
In the bios in your advance tab there should be a setting for intel virtualization technology or something like that (depends on the bios). looking at the bolt if things are the same as when you got one, looks like its an asus or gigabyte mobo. so go in the bios and do as I mentioned above. I'm going to assume whatever cpu you have can do virtual. Edited by DST4ME - 25 Sep 2016 at 6:43pm |

I took a screen shot of my specs. It shows the cpu model. I hope this is what is needed. I hope this will not be to difficult to read as I had problems resizing within the limits of this post. Thanks for your reply. I really appreciate your help.

As I mentioned your cpu will do virtualization you will have a hard time getting a cpu that does not do it, even i3 will.
you better edit your pic and remove your product id number from your pic. I thought that virtualbox didn't really need the virtualization enabled on the cpu Edited by DST4ME - 25 Sep 2016 at 9:52pm |
