So I was hoping to get some helpful feedback on this issue. I don't know if this is the right area to post, but I have tried other forums and haven't really got anything useful. This only happens when I play a game. I can play for about 10 minutes and I get a CTD with a window

Program...)steam\steamapps\common\fallout new vegas\FalloutNV.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusal way. Please contact the application's support team for more information.

Something to do with the Visual C++ Runtime Library. Has anyone experienced this problem and if so, how do you fix it?

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit and have a processor i7 3930k RAM -16GB

Try opening Steam, go to Library, right click the game, select Properties, Local files I think and select Verify Integrity Files.     It will check for corrupt files and re- load files needed.      Hope this helps.

I did that twice and it said there was 1 file missing that would be reaquired, but its still CTD with the Visual C++ Runtime error.

I know this answer is gonna suck - but uninstall the game. Reboot.  Install the game.

That happens when (that specific game) uses runtime installs (which you see when you install the game (its like step 1 of 3) that your PC already has or has newer versions of.

Happens to me all the time on steam - and - thats how I fix it.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I guess I'll have to do a clean re-install of the game and see if that works. I'll try that and post my results. I also got a Microsoft update which had the Visual C++ update and downloaded that, so hopefully its just the game itself.
