I have never really understood how memory speed will affect gaming. With that said, can someone please explain to me how much of a performance difference am i looking between the 2GB of 667MHz, the 2GB of 800MHz, and 2GB 1066MHz RAM?

There is a performance gain but you won't notice it.
800MHz will work for all the upcoming and current processors on the market. Only get 1066MHz if you plan on overclocking or using the ram for future systems. Here's a more in-depth discussion about it: http://digitalstormonline.com/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=109&PN=1 |

Yes 800MHz is the norm, 667MHz will also work if you do not plan on doing any overclocking. 1066MHz or higher are just for extreme overclockers and rich people. |
