Heya all,

My new Bolt III is marked for arrival tomorrow evening, and at the moment I am trying to troubleshoot my current computer so it has no problems for my Dad.

Lately I have been having "Clock interrupt not received on secondary processor" BSODs, and after a few days of scouring it looks like the internet suggests that I update my BIOS.

Bought the PC from one of Digital Storm's competitors (sadface/mischievous face) two years ago, and they had saved a 4.3ghz overclock profile in the BIOS: will that disappear?

Yes it will reset everything to default and not everything might work the same depending on what is being changed.

take a picture/video of your oc settings now with your phone, after update you can try and see if those will still work, they should sometimes they don't.

do you have the dump files for your bsod? I like to look at them.

Thanks for your tips DST4ME!

I ended up removing the 4.3 overclock on the CPU and lowering the voltage.

Now, the 4770k says steady at its stock turbo of 3.9gHz with voltage at 1.1. Temperatures on the CPU have dropped a ton and I have yet to see any BSODs. My Dad wont notice the performance decrease, since he is going from a 3770 non-OC and a 1.5GB OEM GTX 660 to a 4770k and a 780ti.
