You can use a SD card in place of USB in the above tutorial, it does not have to be Only USB drive.

This doesn't work if you never made a reset disk before forgetting the password. However, there is still workaround to fix this. here is a nice alternative to make password reset disk.

The first step in the directions is to Sign in to your account, so yes, it won’t work if you can’t sign in.

That’s why it’s important to make a reset disc right after setting up the account, password.
