My Windows 10 update history shows that KB4040724 failed to install on 10/11.I could find no related errors in my event logs. MS tagged that update to build 15063.632 and my system is now on 15063.674. Windows Update says my sys is up to date. Can I safely forget about it and move on?

Hi Gla4g,
I do not worry when there are "failed" to install updates. More so if subsequently the system states that it is up to date. (Caveat: I also have very limited knowledge.)
In that update, from MS website, it appears that it created some issues in shutdowns with BSODs or black screens. Probably not only not needed but definitely not wanted. Keep on playing with no worries.Big%20Smile

Ms always says:

So you already have it in the new update.

Also that update fixed issues with cellular connections and edge. So no big deal. (unless you use edge)

That update was responsible for lots of issues / angry users
