Hey guys,
I have a situation.
I have a 15" laptop I bought from here in 2013. I installed a fresh version of Windows 7 (using the disk that came with my laptop).
Everything went fine, but I can not turn on the Wireless capability. I press Fn+F11, but the only thing i see on the screen is that it says "OFF". When I try to toggle between on and off, it just says off.
This is very concerning to me.
Am I doing anything wrong?
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks.

The Hotkey driver might also need installing from the disc.

Now that you've got the driver installed from the disk, and it sounds like the Wi-Fi is working, go to the manufacturer's website for your Wi-Fi chip (Intel? Killer? Something else?) and download the latest driver for your OS.

With all my PCs over the years, for home and work, I like to create a folder on my data drive for all the drivers and download newer drivers to that folder.  It also gets backed up to my NAS so I don't lose any drivers that the manufacturer might not offer anymore.  Then I can just copy them to a flash drive when I want to do a clean OS install and have the latest ones ready to go.
