I have a Velox with an X99 Deluxe

What are the USB 2.0 ports?

I see one on the back. I tried the flashback (green port) but that does not work

I am thinking the front two ports might be 3.0

So I am only sure about 1. Looks like there's an option to mount a panel in a card slot with more ports?

Don't have it,  but, just going by the specs and Asus site, the 2x USB 2.0 on the rear are next to the dual Lan ports, above the middle 2,  3.0 ports(blue).

The front USB would be 3. 

Some specs do call for a add on type A card for adding 2x 3.1.

What confused me was whether the green colored flashback port allowed use as a USB 2.0 port. According to the manual, I would have assumed that, but it did not seem to be working. I could use it, because I have two audio devices which do not play well with 3.0

Flashback is USB, but for a memory stick to flash Bios. 
Your board doesn't have the 2x usb 2.0 on the back, aiove the middle 2 of 10 blue USB 3.0?

There's one green button on the bottom/top above/below all the ports ( I get confused, because Velox is upsidedown.) The green color matches the green on the USB port, which I thought was implied to be 2.0 in the manual. I can email Asus on it, I guess

Here's the verbage from the manual, re. the two non blue ports

USB 2.0 ports 5-6 ( bottom port supports USB flashback)
