$1.2 million in Bitcoins hijacked in 'social engineering' attack

Roughly 4,100 Bitcoins were stolen from the service Input.io. The Bitcoins in total were worth over $1.2 million USD and were accessed through two separate attacks by a hacker. By resetting the websites password, the hacker was able to get access to the digital wallet and make away with the Bitcoins. Because of their nature, the stolen Bitcoins will likely never be tracked. There are speculations that it's the website's owner who carried out the attack and made up the story due to the fact Bitcoins are untraceable and no one could know if it was him who had indeed stolen the Bitcoins.
