Author: CretÆ
Subject: Why should I purchase from Digital Storm?
Posted: 24 Dec 2022 at 7:31am

@Isaiah66:

Just saw this. I'm just a user, so don't think I have any share in your solution. I can tell you that you ordered right around Black Friday which kicks off the busiest time of year for DS, (and every other custom PC builder in the country). A fact is that there still exists a broken supply chain particularly for electronics coming from overseas. These combine to produce delays which are inevitable in this season. IDK if you are just backlogged or are held up waiting for a part in exceptionally high demand, but you can get answers if you e-mail alex@digitalstorm.com He is the head of customer service.

Several years ago, before any supply problems, I ordered my rig on Cyber Monday. It was completed and shipped on 12/23. Because of blizzards and inclement weather all along the route from Cali to Florida, plus holidays, I got delivery on Jan 4th. Stuff just happens.

Sorry you're disappointed. The good news is my system has never faltered, never had any problems, and it's still gaming strong at nearly 5 years old. It's my third DS system, and they have all performed flawlessly until they just had to slip into retirement. This, too, shall pass. The system you get will almost surely make up for this bumpy start. It's a heckuva good product.

Just curious to see how long it took to get your machines. I ordered one 2 weeks ago, just excited, but I know it's a bad time of the year to expect something to come in quick. How long did it take to receive your machines? Did they stay on top of updating you via you account or emails? And how do you like the machine since you've had them. Thanks all. Mike!
