No.. Enshrouded is from an indi dev with no ingame sales whatsŒver. I think it's running at <$30 on Steam. Only been in Early Access for a month and they are already touting over 2 million players (even as rough as it is.)

Take a good look at Youtube gameplay to get a good feel for the game. I find it rather enjoyable.

One of the biggest selling points is the game is actually set up for multiplayer across all kinds of servers... and there is no PvP so it's all co-op.

Thanks Snaike for the info, will try it Enshrouded. Do you have to buy anything ingame? I, too also play Oblivion, just don't know how many hours I put into it. I do have all 3 houses and they are all filled with trophies. Also play Guild Wars 2 and played the 1st Guild Wars

Wow... I was not aware that Eve Online was a pay to win game... Thanks for the headsup.

I don't know what you're into but I found an Early Access (which I normally avoid at all costs) that is a cross between Valheim, Minecraft and Oblivion, imo. If you like open world fantasy quest / collector / builders you might want to take a peek at Enshrouded. That's my game du jour.

They should have the "Faction" missions you can do along with exploring the various sectors of space. Kind of get your feet on the ground by just doing the above mentioned.

Like I said, there are plenty of good groups/clubs to join that are more than willing to guide you through and show you the ropes.

Some specialize in making money by mining rare minerals on an industrial scale. Some make money by getting hired out to destroy or remove group(s) from certain sectors of space. I belonged to one of those and they are a blast.

I specialized in flying combat with the Amarian Legion ship. Combat technique was fun to learn. We would get involved with over 100 players just on our side in some of our battles. My game name was Yarmin Kell.

I think you will be surprised at how vast the game is, but you can get a good feel for it with not as much time as you think. Be patient and enjoy the beauty and in 3-4 weeks you will have a fair handle on it. As I said before, joining a group will really speed up learning as that is what I did, and had a ball with those guys!

I played EVE Online for years, but let it go a couple of years ago. It is massive and I am sure even better now. Expect a long learning curve. Join a good faction after you get a feel for the game. Many good ones advertise/recruit. They can show you the ropes. The most fulfilling and fun aspect is the large battles you can get involved in with your group.

Understand, you will have to put some time into the game to get the real feel for it, but the beauty of the game is enough to hold your attention for quite some time. WOW, And I thought I was bad for playing Train Simulator for 1,105.1 hours. LOL! Looking for something that will really test the RTX 4080 I got.

To an ol' country redneck the only real racing game out there is WreckFest!! I have been playing Superbike since 2000. It has been updated and changed over the years now called SBK 2022. I used to road race motorcycles many moons ago. I concur with  PcKiller for the quickest start.

I do like to play with various operating systems so I tend to add a bit more.

01. I install Windows 11 Pro on the SSD along with all of the gaming platforms and games (Steam, GOG, Epic, EA, etc.)
02. I install the Linux Distro, Debian 12 (Bookworm) on one of the hard drives to serve as my daily driver.
03. On all of my OSes, I install an antivirus, a VPN, and a Password Vault.
04. Additionally, I install the Firefox browser and Thunderbird email client.
05. Where ever possible and practical, I select and install open source software such as LibreOffice and GIMP.

No it was vanilla, freshly installed. Alt+Tab, mouse, and all keyboard input was nixed.

Solved problem by waiting about a minute until the 'press any key to continue' notice appeared. Mouse was still stuck, but pressing a key completed startup process. Game+PC then behaved normally.

But even with 5,800+ hours in Fallout 4 on four rigs (3 of them DS!), I can never recall a situation where the game caused a total system lock on first time startup. There was no progress bar or other indication that the game was doing its first time thing, so it caught me off guard.
