Hello
I'm about ready to pull the trigger on purchase. I would like to get this down to $2,200 without losing good stuff. Also, I have a couple of questions. Iwould like to know if I should request any RAID setup with the two drives. Also, I'd like to know more bout the cooling I have selected. I won't need water cooling.
I'm going to use the system for gaming and music production. Thank you.
Chuck

best way to drop that price would be lose the sound card. and the paint you chose is not an option for the case you picked
dropping to a 40gb ssd should be enough for windows and music editing if you keep all the games off

If you need to save, the Intel 40 GB would be enough for your OS and apps. Games won't benefit much from an SSD. You could move to a HAF 932 and lose the extra fans. Otherwise, you look good. The 470 will give you around 80% of the 480's performance at considerable savings.
Raid arrays have to use 2x identical drives. An SSD doesn't need any raid help, and the 32 MB cache HDD's are plenty fast in their own right.
The Noctua 120 mm is one of the very best air cooling solutions on the market.

NO need for any raid settings, and drop the EVGA brand on the card, just get the normal one, its cheaper and offers the same

The only difference between the x-fi forte and the x-fi bravura sound cards is the forte is low profile. If you don't need that you can save a few dollars and get the bravura.
