If I am gaming on 2560x1440, will I need dual gtx 580s? Also if I do get dual gtx 580s, what kind of power (psu) and cooling would i need? Thanks!

the gtx 580 is much cooler then a 480 and the gpu exhaust goes out of your case and not in it. i am not entirely sure but mostly that the exhaust is out the back of the case so make sure you leave some room behind the case and don't put it snug against a wall

the gtx 580 uses a sealed liquid cooling chamber in the gpu housing. as the water turns hot and then to vapor the fan cools it down thus recycling its self.

for the 1200 watt psu you want to get the corsair ax (gold series) it has dual 12 volt rails and is very efficiant in terms of output and thermals. the standard 1200 watt you will only be able to get 1100 watts out of it and it is louder and hotter.
