Long time lurker.

Graduated school and getting a healthy promotion. Gonna treat myself to a new computer to replace my good 6 year old Vigor Gaming rig (made back before all the good employees left).

Just a few questions...

- Whats the difference between P8P67 Regular vs. Deluxe vs. M Pro?

- Do these motherboards come with the fixed SB problem?

Here's what I'm looking at... Ticket # 490599

Planning on buying my own video card (EVGA GTX580) and installing it myself to save money. Will also tell DS to add the extra 200mm fan on top as recommended.

6970 looks enticing for Eyefinity too. It's equivalent in terms of 570 I heard?

What is the use of the pc? if its gaming what is the res and what type of games?

depending on your answers, the 580 could be pure waste of your money, as the 570 can do the same with a good oc if needed.

I'm not the type to play the most taxing/leading edge games.

Currently, I'm playing Heroes of Newerth, League of Legends, and Dragon Age.

1920 x 1080 is my resolution.

Other than that, it's just typing papers/internet/etc.

And do you happen to know if the SB problem has been resolved on the MB's offered?

OK well looks like you got a great config for your use, I urge you to save your money and go with a 560 or 570, for the games you play a 560 is more then you need.

SB problem has been fixed however the new mobos with the fix are slow to get in.
