Budget:
$1500, can be pushed to $1700-$2000 but that's really not ideal. I'm just looking for a tower, if that alone can fit into the budget that'd be great. Expectations: This would be my first gaming desktop after upgrading from a business laptop with specs decent enough for gaming. I'd like to put some money into a computer that can handle gaming pretty well. Usage: Almost exclusively playing games with heavy graphics. (Ex: GTA V, Blade and Soul, PAYDAY 2, DOOM 2016, Overwatch, etc.) Special Needs: I'm not sure what to look for myself, but I'd like a computer that can run most graphics-heavy games on maxed-out settings, or at least relatively high settings, with smooth FPS. It'd be great if I didn't have to worry about it overheating quickly, if possible. I've looked at the Vanquish 6 since that's the closest to fit into my price range. If I purchased the Vanquish 6 on Ultimate, would that be sufficient? |

Hi emx128... The Vanquish will be perfect for your needs and budget. You didn't mention the monitor resolution you'll be using, but if it's a pretty typical 1920x1080, then the level 4, Ultimate, with its gtx 1070 graphics card is the best. The level 3 with gtx 1060 will play nice but some of the heavier graphics games would need settings dropped a bit. Prey is already causing my gtx 970 to strugglle and the 1060 is comparable.
Good luck and keep us posted. |
